After Popular demand, we are reintroducing our Fully dimmable High Pressure Sodium Light Fixture. This one is shown with the plastic cover, but Most Poultry applications opt for just the 12" round "SUNLIGHT" fixture less the cover as the bug spatter will soon prohibit light from shining through the plastic.
This System is available in 150 watt High Pressure Sodium. These lights will operate at a high range of 16,000 lumens, or average of 7-8 average foot candles, (at mounting of 20' centers, and 11 ' height, with 170 watts electrical consumption. Then, they will gradually dim down to a low range of 800 lumens, or .04 foot candles, with only 35 watts of electrical consumption. Unlike some incandescent dimming systems, this type will actually save maximum electricity while in the dimming mode. Also, what is amazing is that while this system is in dimming mode, voltage drops will NOT effect the operation as it seems to become much more stable in that mode. Also, the combination of these lights, with either our dimming incandescent, Cold Cathode Fluorescent, or dimming LED lamps, you can similute the rising and the setting of the SUN, thereby eliminating Stress on the birds!
